The Penticton Downtown Markets
The Downtown Penticton Association Market runs in conjunction with the Penticton & District Community Arts Council Market and the Penticton Farmer’s Market. Two blocks of Main street from the Lakeside Resort to Nanaimo Square is shut down every Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm to facilitate about 150 vendors. Throughout the summer you can visit the Red Tuque Books booth and meet authors from various parts of Canada.
The 2010 Authors & Artists Christmas Faire
This year, the Authors & Artists Christmas Faire will be held at the Penticton Lakeside Resort and Casino on Saturday, November 20th, from 9 am to 5 pm. Open to all authors and artists, this event showcases works of literary and visual art. For those authors or artists who wish to participate, here is a link to a downloadable application :

September 4th - David Korinetz, author of the ‘Chronicles of the Daemon Knights’ Fantasy series, will be at McNally Robinson Booksellers in Saskatoon from 1 to 4 pm.
September 11th - David Korinetz, author of the ‘Chronicles of the Daemon Knights’ Fantasy series, will be at McNally Robinson Booksellers in Winnipeg from 1 to 4 pm.
September 16th - Agnes Toews Andrews will be in Kelowna at Mosaic Books from 1 to 4, and in Penticton at Hooked On Books from 7 to 9, in order to launch her new book 'The Goddess Lives'
September 26th - Debra Purdy Kong, author of the Alex Bellamy Mystery series, will be at the Word On The Street Book Fair in Vancouver from 11 am to 5 pm. Look for her at Library Square on Georgia Street.
