Glory Boy

Glory Boy is about the birds and the bees and the abiding glory of the natural world, a world that includes people. It is all about the difficulty people have finding their place within this more-than-human world. Glory boy fuses the epic quality of myth with the lyricism of a folktale to create a compelling contribution to deep ecology.

Ted Goodden was born in London, Ontario, and still lives there, working as an artist and teacher. He served a three-year apprenticeship in stained glass at Theo Lubbers' Studio in Montreal, followed by a journeyman apprenticeship with Patrick Reyntiens in England. In Glory Boy, Ted Goodden marries text to image, bringing this children's story to life with lino-prints, stained glass windows and collage.
